Preventative Health Testing Update

CAMIS has carefully reviewed the Government of Alberta’s new preventative health testing program and has made the decision not to participate at this time.

While we support the intent of preventative health care and recognize the potential value of expanded access for patients and communities, the current program requirements are not feasible for our clinic operations without creating pressure on patient flow, appointment availability, staff capacity, and the timely delivery of imaging services.

Our priority remains providing safe, reliable, and high-quality medical imaging services to the patients and referring physicians who depend on CAMIS. At this time, we believe this is the most responsible decision for our patients, our physicians, our employees, and the communities we serve.

CAMIS will continue to monitor the program and may revisit participation in the future if the requirements, expectations, or feasibility change.
